My health journey didn’t begin with a clear path or a perfect solution. It began with the birth of my first daughter, a moment I had looked forward to for months, filled with excitement and anticipation. However, what I never expected was the trauma I would experience during and after the birth.

After my first child was born, I faced severe complications—a complete bleed-out hemorrhage that required multiple blood transfusions. I wasn’t able to experience the moments I had dreamt of, the skin-to-skin contact with my newborn, or the peaceful first bonding moments mothers typically share with their babies. Instead, I found myself in a hospital bed, feeling helpless and scared.

But the challenges didn’t stop there. Shortly after, I began to experience severe postpartum depression. I didn’t even recognize it at the time. I was exhausted and emotionally drained, but I pushed through, convinced that this was just part of the new motherhood experience. My body and mind were telling me something was wrong, but I didn’t know how to listen—or how to ask for the right help.

That’s when I realized something—women’s health care must change. We deserve more than band-aid solutions and cookie-cutter approaches. We deserve to be seen, understood, and cared for in a way that is personal and empowering. This realization became my turning point: I knew I needed to take control of my health, not just wait for the system to catch up.

When you understand your body and have access to personalized health data, that’s when you’re truly empowered. It’s in those moments when you can make informed decisions, advocate for yourself, and feel confident in your health choices. It was the realization that my health was mine to own, and that personalized care was the key to unlocking that power.

That’s the inspiration behind Incora Health.

I want every woman to know that by understanding your health and making it personal, you hold the power to transform how you live and feel every day. This is the vision I’ve worked to create with Incora Health—a world where women are supported, seen, and empowered to take charge of their health, on their own terms.
